Press Release – November 4, 2017

Go Fund me winter campaign

It costs $2500 per day to run the zoo, and winter can be particularly difficult as our admissions drop during the colder months.  In addition to needing funds to help us feed and care for the animals, Mill Mountain Zoo needs 6 new Generac portable generators to keep the power on and make sure the animals are safe during winter storms and weather.

We also need to purchase new Husqvarna chainsaws and chainsaw chaps to help with grounds clean-up after snow and ice storms.

Donate today and help us care for the animals by keeping them warm and safe this winter.  Thank you for your support of our furry, feathery and scaly friends!

Update:

On behalf of Mill Mountain Zoo, I want to thank everyone for helping us reach our goal in less than as week! Your support has been very moving, and you will never know how much the staff appreciates your generosity! Of course, Mill Mountain Zoo has many other needs and projects we hope to accomplish, so we are going to keep this campaign going! Please continue to share our campaign for the Winter Fund with all of your friends and family. Thanks again to everyone who has donated!
