Join us for an exciting Walk on the Wild Side adventure, focusing on the fascinating relationship between plants and pollinators! Led by our experienced educators, this guided hike will take you through Mill Mountain’s trails, where we’ll explore the diverse plant life that supports local wildlife and the incredible pollinators—such as bees, butterflies, birds, and even bats—that help these ecosystems thrive. Along the way, we’ll discuss the essential role of pollination, how different plants attract their pollinators, and the vital impact these interactions have on the environment. After our hike, we’ll return to the zoo to meet some of our pollinator-friendly animal ambassadors and learn how we can protect these important species through conservation efforts and sustainable gardening practices!
