In partnership with Carilion Clinic and Carilion Children’s Hospital, we are excited to unveil an interactive, educational playground for kids of all ages.

Mill Mountain Zoo is pleased to announce the arrival of the “Durham” pack, a family group of 8 red wolves. These wolves were transferred from the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC on January 13, 2020.

We wanted to take a few moments and update you on our Go Fund Me campaign that recently ended and how it played out for us. In the end, we raised a total of $8,330, which was above and beyond or target of $5,000.

We are proud to announce that the Roanoke Women’s Foundation has provided the Zoo with a $46,800 grant to renovate exhibits and expand our education program.

The Mill Mountain Zoo is pleased to announce that it has entered into a reciprocal discount with the Don & Barbara Smith Children’s Museum, Kids Square located at Center in the Square here in Roanoke, Virginia.

The Mill Mountain Zoo is pleased to announce the opening of our new Raccoon Exhibit. The first of two Raccoons, “Katia” is now on display.
